Sony ACID Pro 7 is my favorite by far!

FL Studio 9 is the right way for a beginner. It's really easy to use and can be an entire song in just a few minutes have! Even without the synthesizer. (You can enter the regular keyboard as a MIDI synthesizer / keyboard).

Cubase is easier to audio recording, but I think it's a little complicated when it comes to the MIDI and virtual instruments, and other things. I always leave open for when I do something in Cubase.

Sony ACID Pro 7 is as good as FL Studio, just for a beginner, and almost the same functionality as FL, but I think a lot cheaper (I have never charged for these programs: lol X)

Logic Pro and Mac ... which will cost a hell of a lot of money. You are looking at spending around £ 900 over £ 1,000. ButIf you can afford to go to. Reaaally certainly not for professionals. Music Technology started in the school and we were all beginners and those with Logic Pro on the Mac. Simple as FL Studio, but I want to say that all the virtual instruments and sounds, and things are much easier to focus on the logic that in FL Studio.
